Based on that analytics data we go ahead and optimize bids. Again we dont look at the avg position. We have seen good EPC’s even in the 4-5 position on adwords.

Note: Google made a change a few years ago to how they track keywords and it has had a big impact on the discovery process. Before the change, Google would show which keywords consumers were using to find your website, making it easy to understand where and how your website was ranking. Traffic coming from SEO (Search Engine Optimization) is free, while traffic generated from PPC (Pay Per Click) ads is not free. PPC ads are displayed above organic search results or on the sidebar of search engine pages for search queries related to their topic. Identify information that’s missing from online content. Put yourself in the shoes of your clients and perform searches on content that’s relevant to your business. In-organic traffic generally refers to traffic coming from paid search engine placement or ads. However used in broad strokes it could refer to any traffic coming from a paid nature.
 I do topical research because that's the way that people search they don't search for keywords per se they're looking for topics so what we want to do is try and dig into the intent of what people are searching for and use keywords to support that and most importantly topics are more important than keywords is when you're working with a brand new site you don't have the authority to compete on big massive keywords the only way to get exposure for these searches is by going after the the keywords that aren't keywords yet so for example if we took these keywords and put them in a Google Keyword planner it would show up as zero as nothing because they're so fresh they're not registering and this is why I don't like doing keywords anymore because keywords are running on past data the Internet of today runs on now and it runs on the future and it runs on trends so what we want to do is tap into the trends of your industry and market and 

For a small business, it is better to start with Organic SEO because aside from it is a low-cost investment, it will build your internet presence gradually and eventually have a solid foundation in your own niche – provided that you are doing the right way. It is not bad to invest in non-organic. You just have to make sure that you are investing on the right campaigns and not on the overly artificial ways to gain traffic and rank. Avoid investing too much on paid advertising and instead invest on creating relevant and useful content.
